(Hosting-NewsWire.com, October 05, 2012 ) San Francisco, CA- An additional Tag Manager was added to Google Analytics for expanded Web-Tracking.
The tool is free and was created to help consolidate tags with efficient coding. The initial release is in English; however, it is expected to be release in other languages soon.
The Tab Manager is made to allow individuals to add or update tags on Google and non-Google websites, without the necessity of IT guidance. This addition gives marketers more flexibility, while webmasters have to allocate less time on the consuming task. Multi-account, user permission, asynchronous tags, and tag templates are just a few features boasted by the new addition. A preview mode has also been added, as well as a Debugging Console.
"Google Tag Manager took one big chunk of time out of the tagging process," Ameet Arurkar, director of search engine marketing at QuinStreet, said in a Google blog. "What took [two] weeks now takes less than a day – sometimes just hours. We, the campaign managers, now make the call on which tags to use, and we can implement the tags ourselves."
Companies who already have developed their own tag templates can add them into Google manager, meaning companies do not have to reset their tag templates before using. Users need to create an account, then create a container, add in code, and fill the provided Google container with the appropriate tags.
