(EMAILWIRE.COM, April 13, 2012 ) Mumbai, Maharashtra -- India has stolen the center stage in the Information Technology sector at global levels in the last decade. There is a tremendous socio economic development growth in the country. Despite the many positive things that are happening in the country, the gulf between the rich and the poor still seems to be strikingly high. There are many social welfare organizations in the country trying to minimize the rift. However, given the size of the country and the magnitude of the problem no amount of efforts seem to produce tangible results.
One of the India NGOs that is trying to make a difference in the country is Tarang. One of the main goals of the India NGO is to offer free education in India to the less fortunate so that the living standard of the poor can be uplifted. Tarang has been working tirelessly to alleviate poverty in India by choosing a specific segment of social service in India namely the education sector.
The educational NGO has already launched numerous educational programs specially designed to help the slum children of Mumbai. The educational programs are designed to suit the life style of the slum dwellers where even minor children are also bread winners of the family. Tarang has organized evening schools and weekend schools for such children so that the children can get good quality education despite working during the day time. Currently Tarang runs over four educational programs all of them focusing on the slum children in Mumbai.
As it can be easily guessed for such good things to materialize lots of funds are required. The NGO requires support from the well wishers and from benefactors as Tarang does not have any other commercial enterprises to support or to fund the free education programs. Tarang always welcomes support in all forms whether it is in the form of monetary support or support from the volunteers that can assist the educational programs in some form, everyone is welcome. People interested in helping Tarang can contact the NGO how the help can be extended to the organization.
Tarang continues to work hard towards achieving the organization’s vision which is to educate every child in this planet. Hundreds of children have already benefited from the NGO’s educational programs. People already in the field will be able to appreciate how difficult a challenge it is whereby money alone is not the issue. There are other socio economic factors that need to be addressed before the organization can get good attendance to the educational programs. Not only the children but also the parents have to be counseled on the importance of education. Tarang has indeed on to a noble endeavor of helping the slum children of Mumbai by offering quality free education blended with love and compassion.
