(Hosting-NewsWire.com, August 17, 2013 ) Dallas, TX -- Over the past few years, Google has been increasing communication to webmaster with the intent to fight web spam by educating site owners on how their performance impacts search results. Google used to leave notifications about manual actions taken against a website in the owner’s account. Now, they can be seen in the “Manual Actions” section of the Search Traffic section in their Google Webmaster Tools account.
Manual Spam Action is how Google combats spamm search results. The company does this in two ways. First, by manually applying penalties and algorithmic updates, and by using crawl bots to do the work. Manual actions refer to penalties levied against sites that have been reviewed by real humans on the web in order to look for quality websites.
Manual actions included thin or low-value content, keyword stuffing, and unnatural links, which may lead to nowhere or other spammy content.
With the new integration, site owners will have easier access to figuring out how to solve the manual penalties. Before, webmasters had to guess on how to correct the issues that were at hand. Now, the manual actions tool is not only answers to questions as to why the site was manually penalized, but also provides some information on how to fix it.
The good news is that 98 percent of site owners will not see a manual action against their website. The over two percent will be informed whether their site has been fully or partially penalized. The tool will also list the first 1,000 pages affected by the action ot assist owners in understanding the problems.
