Take a Screenshot You can also take a screenshot of your iPad using a simple one-step process. Simply hold down on the home button and the power button at the same time for approximately one second, then release. You should hear a camera sound go off, and your screen should go white, indicating that a screenshot was taken. It will be stored in the Photos app from where it can be emailed, viewed or added to a slide show.
