(Hosting-NewsWire.com, September 28, 2012 ) San Francisco, CA- It has been a bitter several months in the legal war between Apple and Samsung. Both companies lodged lawsuits against one another in multiple countries. Apple released the iPhone 5 this month only to have Samsung release several ads mocking the new device. Now it appears that Apple fans have decided to fight back by posting on the Samsung fan page.
Samsung Mobile recently asked their fans a question: “If you could only take one electronic device on a deserted island, what would it be?” Presumably Samsung expected its fans to answer back with choices like the Samsung Galaxy S III or the Galaxy Note II. Instead, a staggering number of individuals replied back with choices that included the iPhone 5 and the iPad.
But Apple fans did not stop there. They continued to post on subsequent statuses and photo updates from Samsung, as well as on Samsung’s wall, about Apple’s new iPhone 5. Armin Seltz, a poster on Samsung’s fan page, said that, "in the last 5,000 comments iphone was mentioned 3,637 times.”Samsung": 473, "Galaxy": 378, "iPad" 324. Even the Nokia 3310 gets 112."
Samsung so far does not appear to be blocking or deleting the posts; however, some heated debates have arisen, with one poster replying to the Apple fans “don’t get upset Apple users, I mean you finally got a Phone that has features... Samsung have had for a while. Finally made it over the finish line.”
Another Samsung fan lamented the posts from Apple users. “Why are iPhone users even looking and commenting on this fan page? I couldn't care less about what gets posted on an Apple fan page if it's not a phone I like or want. If someone posts something about Apple, I just keep on scrolling by without a second glance.”
One might expect that Samsung fans would take to the Apple page to discuss Samsung’s products. So far that does not appear to be the case. Apple’s page has not been updated with new statuses or photos since August and its wall appears to be free of Samsung-related posts.
Despite this, it does not appear that the Samsung/Apple war will be coming to an end anytime soon. An estimated 5 million iPhone 5s sold and new Samsung products on the way, fans will undoubtedly continue to debate whose device is better.
