(EMAILWIRE.COM, April 06, 2012 ) New York, NY -- PressReleaseMonkey.com, a service that specializes in press release writing and distribution, has just announced a contest to name their new mascot through their Facebook page.
The new mascot was created by master designer Sergio Ordonez of http://www.sosfactory.com/. Boasting such clients as Nestle, University of California San Diego and Inxile Entertainment, Mr. Ordonez was the natural choice to design the new monkey for the growing news firm.
When they started the project the team at PRM had two distinct goals for the monkey- To communicate both PRMs professional customer service and sheer power to spread news for their clientele.
The finished design was a perfect representation of their vision. With a paperboy bag, hat, and an enthusiastic look that reflects the company’s own passion for press release marketing, the monkey is shown thrusting a newspaper to the forefront as he shouts the news to the masses. “I was honestly surprised how Sergio was able to quickly transform our instructions into a design,” said Tyson Crisp, Manager of the marketing department at PRM. “He captured it perfectly, we couldn’t be happier with the new mascot.” The new monkey hasn’t been named yet so PRM is holding a contest to come up with his moniker. The winner will be rewarded with a free “Gold Plus” press release, a value of $150 dollars. To enter the contest participants simply have to “like” PRM’s Facebook page and post their idea for the monkey’s name onto their wall. Their company page can be found at: http://www.facebook.com/pressreleasemonkey.
The winning name will be announced on April 30th and the winner will be rewarded with a free press release to be used anytime. “Ideally, we’d like the name to have something to do with the Internet, news, or press release marketing,” says Mark Bauer, who manages the writing and distribution department at PRM. “We’d like for it to reflect the power of our service and our commitment to customer service. Most importantly though, we just want a name that fits the look of our new spokesman- something that reflects his passion for spreading the news.”
