(Hosting-NewsWire.com, July 02, 2012 ) Houston TX -- Today, a new source of social media status updates, Status Book, launched a website to help the millions of Facebook and Twitter users that struggle to come up with interesting or amusing status updates.
President Tim Kean understands the problem too well. “Today, it’s entirely natural for individuals and businesses to share every detail of their lives on social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter,” he says. “We all know that sinking feeling, when you’re finding it difficult to think of something funny, or your update sounds flat and lifeless. Our website has been designed to provide inspiration, and if you want to use them, a repository of pre-tested updates.”
As well as ensuring that individuals have quality updates, Kean feels that businesses need to exercise the same consideration on social media platforms. “This is particularly relevant for businesses looking to attract new fans on Facebook or followers on Twitter,” he continues. “Every brand is engaging with potential customers all the time, so it’s crucial to be heard in order to interact with the market. Good, funny statuses add heart to a brand and break up the cycle of promotional tweets.”
The company, started in the year 2010 has now launched its mobile site with new features for registered users. The site already has over 15,610 likes on Facebook and nearly 4,000 followers on Twitter. The website www.statusbook.net, which can also be accessed on-the-go through its mobile website, provides thousands of updates searchable by categories such as music, love and the difference between the sexes.
Users can see how many other people have liked a status before selecting it; the premise being that if a status already has 800 likes, it’s a good option to use. With one click it can update your Facebook wall, either from a computer or a smartphone. The site also offers the feature of connecting to a user’s personal updates, to rate them as well.
“We’re here to help people; to give them access to a library of fantastic updates. With just a click, they can update Twitter or Facebook,” concludes Kean. “Whether or not they eventually tell their friends the source of their new found literary expertise is up to them!”
Gems from the website, www.statusbook.net, include funny statuses suggestions such as awkward moments: “That awkward run you do when a car lets you cross the street” and family dialogues including the popular: "Dad, I’m hungry" "Hi, Hungry. I’m Dad." "Dad, I’m serious." "I thought you were Hungry?" "Are you kidding me?" "Nope, I’m Dad."
