(EMAILWIRE.COM, July 26, 2013 ) North Potomac MD -- A new Pew Internet and American Life Project assessed thousands of people who were taught to write papers on keyboards. The study found that those students still invested in writing with pen and paper.
Nearly all teachers encouraged their students to share written content with wider audiences. As a result, nearly 80 percent of all participants said that they find collaboration to be better when written on paper. where 78 percent also said it helped spark creativity.
The study also confirmed that writers can now speed through the creation and publication process and can lead to more mistakes. While 40 percent of teachers say it actually improves studentsÂ’ grammar and spelling by using tools such as Spell Check, 46 percent admit they help students propel into writing too quickly and rely on those tools.
Another study recently revealed that todayÂ’s consumers have been empowered by wealth of information at their disposal. Data compiled by the Mobile Republic revealed that accuracy is the most important prerequisite for relevant content, and itÂ’s up to content writers to help bridge the gap between those who are digital natives and those who are just dipping their toes into the digital world.
